A brand-new, flexible rolling monthly subscription that covers you while you’re learning and after you pass your test.
It’s 2 in 1
Learner and New Driver cover in a single subscription. From your first lesson to your first year behind the wheel. Learner + New Driver is a great deal designed to make driving easier for you as you start your driving journey.
While you’re learning
You can practise with someone else for as little or as long as you need in someone else’s car or your own. And, you’re covered without risking their no claims bonus.
When you’ve passed
You’re still covered. No gaps, no hassle. Your monthly cover continues. Just download our app to record your driving and you could get discounts every three months for safe driving.
When you’re driving
We only use the data we collect to help us personalise your price and support your driving journey. Never for anything else.
Save money
One smart subscription that lets you practise while you’re learning, gives you a discount in your first month as a new driver, and offers further savings as you build your skills after passing. No gaps
Continuous 2-in-1, hassle-free cover means you can skip sorting out new insurance after you pass — and drive home from your test!Price freeze
To help you make the most of your newfound freedom, your first month as a new driver will cost the same as it did while you were learning.Earn discounts
With the support of our Veygo app, you can build your driving skills and save up to 30% in your first nine months after passing. The safer you drive, the less you’ll pay.You can get Learner + New Driver insurance on your car or someone else’s. If you’re not the legal car owner then Learner + New Driver cover sits alongside the owner’s insurance and cannot be the main policy. It’s possible to get cover for a lease car, but not a hire or rental vehicle.
Yes, you can cancel your Learner + New Driver subscription at any time via your Veygo account. Here’s how to cancel (it’s really easy!):
If your policy hasn’t started yet, you’ll receive a full refund.
If your policy has already started, we’ll recalculate the price based on a shorter policy and refund the difference. If any refund is due, this will be returned to the original payment method automatically within 3 to 10 days.
Please see your Insurance Guide for our Cancellations policy.
Your Learner + New Driver policy isn’t guaranteed cover for after you pass, as circumstances can change on our side or yours. In the unlikely event we are not able to offer you cover after you pass, we will give you 7 days’ notice that we cannot cover you. If we aren’t able to cover you after you pass, you can check out our other flexible insurance options – New Driver Insurance or Pay As You Go Insurance.
You don’t need to. We’ll automatically update your policy. However, if you’d like to notify us, you can do so from your account page.
Your price will change after you pass, but not right away. With Learner + New Driver, your first month after passing remains the same as your learner price. After that, your price will adjust based on your new driver quote, which we will share with you once you pass.
Your new driver price will be directly linked to your driving score in the Veygo by Admiral app, which means it will change based on your driving behaviour. If your driving score is good because you’ve been driving safely and responsibly, your subscription price may decrease. However, if there are changes in your driving behaviour that means your driving score is lower, then your subscription price may increase.
We know how important every pound is at the moment. Adjustments to your subscription price will come into effect every three months and will always be communicated to you in advance.
Not all drivers or cars qualify for this policy. If you don’t, please check out our other flexible cover options – Learner Driver Insurance and New Driver Insurance – to see what works best for you.
You can drive anywhere in the UK at any time. However, Veygo New Driver insurance doesn’t cover driving outside of the UK. If you plan to drive internationally, you’ll need a different insurance option.
Your driving score is based on the data from the Veygo by Admiral app, which monitors things like mobile usage, speed, cornering, acceleration, and braking while you drive.
To see how we will use your data, please read Admiral group’s privacy policy.
You’re never locked in. You can cancel your subscription at any time, before or after passing your test.
