Do I need alternative insurace?

The vehicle needs to be alternatively insured if you are borrowing it from a family member, friend or colleague. You cannot be a named driver on the alternative insurance policy. Please also note that the alternative insurance cannot be a learner driver policy.

If you are the registered owner of the vehicle, you do not need to have alternative insurance, we would be the only cover needed.
