Taking your car abroad with Veygo

Taking your car abroad? Do you know where your Veygo cover fully protects you, and where you’ll only have basic legal cover if something goes wrong?

Planning a road trip? Festival with your mates? Or just heading to see family? With Veygo, you’ll have fully comprehensive cover across Great Britain and the British Islands, so you can get on the road without the worry.

🎶 Off to Reading Festival? You’re good.

🎭 Hitting the Edinburgh Fringe? We’ve got you.

⛰️ Escaping to Snowdonia’s mountains? Let’s go.

🏄 Catching waves in Cornwall? You’re covered.

And if you’re just sharing the drive on a long trip to visit family, you’re sorted too. Veygo has you covered in:

  • England
  • Wales
  • Scotland
  • Northern Ireland
  • The Isle of Man
  • The Channel Islands

(Just a heads up: we don’t provide fully comp cover in the Republic of Ireland.)

Want to travel further?

Your policy also gives you the minimum legal cover if you drive in these countries:

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

What does this mean?

If you’re driving in Europe, you’ll only get the minimum legal cover. That means you won’t be covered for:

  • Theft
  • Damage to your car
  • Vehicle recovery or getting your car back home if it’s not driveable
  • Onward travel if your trip is cut short
  • Getting your luggage or personal stuff back to the UK

Going somewhere not listed?

If your road trip takes you to a country outside the list above, we won’t be able to provide cover there
