10 Gifts For New Drivers

Stumped on what to buy a newly passed driver? Don’t worry – we’ve got some ideas!

We all know that passing your driving test is a huge achievement that deserves to be celebrated, but it’s hard to work out what you should buy for the new driver if you want to celebrate with a gift. While we’re sure your recipient will be pleased with whatever they receive, it’s always good to know that the gift will come in useful. We’ve rounded up a few ideas, from dash cams to personalised playlists, to help you in your search for the perfect present.

1. Travel Mug

Shopping for a commuter, a student or an up-front coffee lover? Whether you get a personalised travel mug or a more expensive model, this gift will be particularly appreciated on frosty winter mornings!

2. Chocolates for the occasion

3. Bluetooth-aux adaptor

Getting on the road is usually very expensive, and not everyone can afford a new car with Bluetooth. This can be a bit of a pain, especially as newer phones are beginning to not come with AUX jacks. But, fear not! For around £10, you can get a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into your car’s AUX port! What’s better than the gift of song?

4. A driving playlist

Talking about the gift of song, making a driving playlist could be the way to go! Load it with a mix of their favourite songs, your favourite songs (if they’re any good, that is!) and some absolute classics. This gift is really thoughtful, and free on Spotify. A chance to bestow your music genius on to someone else!

5. Sat-nav

Help them explore the world – and lessen their chances of getting lost – with a Sat-nav! There’s so many different mdoels available, ranging from around £50 right up to £300. It definitely beats using an app on their phone to be led to the middle of nowhere and told GPS signal lost, that’s for sure…

Well, they’re going to need one for their first set of car keys! Despite what you may think, key rings don’t have to be a boring, or tacky! These personalised leather-stamped key rings are sure to please even the fussiest new driver.
