Festival Survey!

How do your parents want to keep in contact with you this summer?

by Jemima Lewis

It’s festival time! We took a look at how parents keep in contact with children going to festivals this summer!

Parents thought that communication with children was important when they’re at a festival. This is how parents thought they should communicate with their children and how often. Do you talk to your parents as much as they’d like you to?

Text

485 of the parents asked thought they should have texts from their children throughout the day, while 576 parents asked only said once or twice a day.

Phone Calls

198 of the parents asked thought they should phone their children throughout the day, while 353 parents asked only said 1-2 times a day. Interestingly, 477 said they wouldn’t expect a phone call from their children at all.

Facebook

218 of the parents asked thought they should see posts / have contact from their children throughout the day on Facebook, while 291 parents asked only said once a day. 916 said they should never have contact with their children though Facebook while they’re at a festival.

Snapchat

110 of the parents asked thought they should see Snapchat posts or stories throughout the day, while 135 parents surveyed only said once a day – 1,204 said they wouldn’t expect contact with their children though Snapchat at all.

Do you keep in contact with your parents this much when you go to festivals? Should you keep in contact more or less often than you currently do?
