Campus Road Trip: Exeter

Just been accepted to Exeter University but don’t know anything to do around the city? Here’s come fun things we’ve found!

Exeter is a small city, but it has a lot to offer; and you don’t have to stay in the city to have fun. Being in university is all about exploring and doing new things. So, can you actually say you’ve gone out and explored everything Exeter has to offer?

We’ve put together some ideas of what you can do with your friends to explore the area – here are 4 amazing things to do and see within driving distance of Exeter:

If you want some fresh air

If you want to go for a nice walk with your pals, or you’re seeking the perfect setting for that flawless Insta shot, this is the place to go. 103 square miles of intimate wooded combes, vast areas of heathland, fertile river valleys and breath-taking coastal and hilltop views to suit any type of walk you desire. Or, if you’re not feeling walking, they also have a range of water sports to choose from.

If you’re feeling fancy

Go to one of Devon’s oldest family homes to have some tea or to simply have a stroll around the house and its gardens. This stunning house is the perfect backdrop for a sophisticated afternoon with your friends!

If you want to feel the sand between your toes

This traditional seaside town offers a range of amusements, and is perfect for a summer day swim, exploring rock pools, or sandcastle building. The wide, open green lawn which sits by the brook (home to the famous black swans!) is great for a wind-down day of games with your friends and a nice picnic. So, if you fancy a nice sunny afternoon by the sea with your friends, this is the perfect place to go!

If you want to recapture your childhood
